2. Validator Sync State

In this step you will check the sync state of the validator.

Syncing vs. Not Syncing​

Syncing​

The following example log messages show the validator is syncing.

Note the presence of ⚙️ Syncing.

Synced​

The following example log messages show the validator is in sync and is importing blocks from other validators.

Check Sync State​

Inspect /opt/xxnetwork/log/chain.log on the Node computer with the following command.

tail -f /opt/xxnetwork/log/chain.log

If the validator is synced, you can proceed. If it is syncing, you should wait before proceeding.
