1. Getting Started

Before you begin, take a moment and consider a few things.

Required Information​

When staking a validator associated with a cMixx node you will need to know the following:

  • Validator Stash Account: This account will hold the xx coins that are bonded and staked. It is also the account era rewards will be paid out to.
  • Validator Controller Account: This account will hold a small amount of xx coins that can be used to sign transactions on behalf of the stash account.
  • Session Keys: Session keys are hot keys that must be kept online by a validator to perform blockchain network operations. These are not the same as the cMixx TLS credentials.
  • Hexadecimal Node ID: The hexadecimal node ID is only used when associating a cMixx node with a validator.
